Glenfield Baptist Church sponsors several churches that meet at Glenfield. Pastor Jim Rahtjen has been at Glenfield for 22 years. It was his prayer that God would fill the building. Six church-plants have started since then.

In 1990, Glenfield members began praying that the Lord would allow us to send 10 members to the mission field or full-time Christian service.
The power of prayer...
We prayed until November of 1995 before we saw anyone leave. But God abundantly answered our prayer. By the year 2000, we had far surpassed 10 members. To date, we have sent 44 members to full-time Christian service or the mission field for two-years or longer.
We now have former members serving as pastors, seminary professors, and youth workers.

“A foretaste of heaven...”
That’s how one member described one of our combined services at Glenfield. Seven congregations meet at Glenfield weekly, but with five languages spoken, it takes special coordination to meet together. Three times a year we all meet together and it is a foretaste of heaven.
